All three of Run Devil Run’s members have worked in various acts over the years.

Mark (lead guitar and lead vocals) being the youngest member, started his musical career back in 1982 and finally broke onto the scene in 1985 playing in bands in and around the West Midlands with Starlite Express and narrowly missing a chance to join the top 30 group, the Mighty Lemon Drops. His major influences have been from the fifties and sixties, stating Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Lennon and McCartney, The Shadows, Gerry Marsden, Joe Brown, The Searchers and the Kinks being the acts that he has admired and based his guitar and singing styles on.Recently he’s had some interest in his original work plus a number of collaborations with musicians from around the world creating some interesting material, as also had some airplay on a number of radio stations and radio interviews.

Eddie (bass guitar, vocal and harmonies) started his career back in the 60’s and did a stint in the armed forces before returning back to playing. Working the Ma Reagan circuit in the 60’s, Eddie supported many well known act including the Beatles at Old Hill Plaza. Having played with numerous acts over the years including Hanson Sounds, Four on the Floor, Rob Sinclair and the Rockets, The Over the Hill Gang and also originally being with Mark and Barrie in the eighties and nineties.

Barrie (Drums and backing vocals) started working the clubs back in the later part of the sixties, being based in the West Midlands regularly rubbed shoulders with acts such as Slade, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and the like. Barrie was the original drummer with Mothers Worry, the Midlands answer to Alice Cooper.

With a wide repertoire ranging from the Fifties to the Eighties, the trio Run Devil Run consists of Mark on Lead/Rhythm Guitar (Lead Vocals), Barrie on Drums (Harmonies and Lead Vocals) and Eddie on Bass (Harmonies and Lead Vocals. The act are totally self-contained with pro gear and lighting systems.

The lads have all known each other for over 35 years and were the originally all in the same band from the Eighties until late 1995 when they went their separate ways.
Run Devil Run being being formed later in 1999 consisting of Mark, Barrie and Keith Olive on Bass who sadly passed away in April 2019.

With many years experience of performing and having been former members of other well established club acts; Run Devil Run are now back on the road.

Over the years the lads have done a large number of gigs and charity gigs in and around the Midlands, the charity ones mainly for the Beacon Centre for the Blind, charity nights for local Social Services schemes, Newcross hospital’s Cardiac After care Unit and Wolverhampton Bladder Association.   Run Devil Run have created an impressive repertoire of many classic tunes from over the decades, including many tunes not normally performed by other acts, thus making them a refreshing act to dance and listen to.
